Keep your audience watching your videos...

The most ordinary reasons that people leave videos early are:-

1. The Video Takes Too Long
All of us lead busier and busier lives, and the video requires to cut to the chase quickly and have content that continually provides value. If you pad it out, peoples' attention span will just wane and they will move on. Each and every word which you can reduce the script by, while not diminishing the message is a victory. Gain permission and manage the expectation of the viewer in advance such that they are already agreed to commit which time.

2. The video lacks authenticity and even passion.
Our antenna is very well developed all these days to recognize false promoting puffs, phony eagerness or manipulative sales techniques. The presentation/presenter is everything, and a style which pulls rather than pushes gets drastic consequences. The world is interested in your "take" on life, not a manufactures spin developed to satisfy everyone.

3. Get to the point!
When the message you get from the video is not clear, or it's going nowhere, then it seems to be annoying. Keep to the point, and don't try to convey too many messages about how great your product or services are. Usually your visitors will believe what people speak about you far more than what you say about yourself. Do not overpromise, be realistic and talk in terms of the real advantages from the clients point of view not yours. Use YOU many more times than you use WE in your screenplay.

4. The video quality is poor.
Those watching videos are normally pretty lenient when it comes to video or audio standards of production. YouTube owes much of its accomplishment to the amateur, impromptu style of several videos. Just watch out for poor sound quality, picture break up or poor lighting. You don't always have to have professional quality but it should show which you take care and are competent in communicating to a high standard.

5. Why should I listen to you - are you unique?
Differentiate yourself as much as possible from others. In a world where practically millions of videos are being submitted every single day, spend time beforehand ensuring yours is different. The one thing that is definitely unique is YOU, so do not sanities yourself so much that you disappear. Use convincing language which matches your target audience and use accompanying interactive graphics to reinforce the impact.

Measure your results through Google Analytics so you could adjust accordingly.

If you do not already have Google Analytics, make sure you have this service. Its free and tells you who is visiting what pages from where. Its free and tells you so much useful information.
