Many people, when they learn about sacred healing systems, have questions about how it all works. Especially for those who were raised to be skeptical of many of the principles that some healing systems work on, and this can make it very difficult to overcome prejudices that were learned early in life about the way things are and what reactions are appropriate (or at least the way their parents wanted things to be). After all, the core values we are taught as children are generally meant to stick with us, and with no other experiences to go on as children we are quick to believe what our families teach or show us. However, for many who are viewing it with skeptical feelings, the easiest way to learn about healing systems, like the healing star system, is to actually experience it for themselves. Once a person has had a visceral life experience, they tend to be a bit more open to it, especially when the experience is one of healing. The more a person becomes their higher self, their whole self, their actualized self, the more open they tend to be to learning more. After all, in order to truly internalize something, one must transcend the intellectual knowing of it.

There are of course others who thrive on learning more, who are interested in different theories and who actually are much the opposite in that they would prefer to learn as much as possible about healing systems in order to have that knowledge and understanding already in place when first experiencing them. There is no right or wrong way to do it, neither of these may be for you, it really just comes down to what is your natural and most comfortable style of learning- this ensures that you get the most out of your experiences. Usually, when one is already open and aware to the way that sacred healing systems work, it is easier to be interested in learning more about them upfront. After all, you aren't trying to undo conditioning in the process, just in case it is just your curiosity getting the better of you, it is good to find out ahead of time whether something will even remotely fit with your beliefs or lifestyle. The great thing about healing systems is that you do not have to believe in any certain religious or spiritual belief system to receive healing.

So, what is it that can help those that might keep changing their mind, having trouble deciding whether it is really for them? Changes for the positive in their life, usually. When a person is finally able to let go of an anxiety or a thought/belief pattern that is holding them back, their lives change in a myriad of ways. When depression lifts, people experience life as if the sun has finally come out from the behind the clouds. It is this kind of experience that can have the effect of opening a person up, creating a sense of acceptance and ultimately allowing them to learn- without feeling like what they are learning is conflicting with what they should believe. In part, this is why personal testimonial is so important- word of mouth will always win out over advertising because personal experience has more sway to it than scripted words.
