The master cleanse is also at times referred to as the lemonade diet. It has also been recently called the maple syrup diet. While this particular cleanse (or diet) was created in the 1940s, it gained some significant recognition a few years ago when some very popular celebrities and bloggers started working through it. We chose to take a close look at this system and what it involves. This write-up will have a look at the origins of the system and if it's safe for use. If you need to find out more about The Master Cleanse or are thinking about using excessive measures to lose weight, keep reading.

In 1941 Stanley Burroughs established The Master Cleanse program. It is a liquid diet regime that was created to help cleanse your system of toxins. Burroughs further claimed that the plan could cure ulcers and panacea. The principle idea is that, if you carry out the cleanse, the body will get rid of all of the bad stuff in it. It may also help you reduce cravings for foods and substances which have been bad for you. In terms of weight loss and wellness, the Master Cleanse isn't that tricky. You do not have to purchase expensive books (though if you like that kind of thing, one is available). You don’t require any specific gear. You require just one or two ingredients.

There are usually three fundamental steps to the program: the ease in, the lemonade diet program and also the ease out. You can skip the ease in if you'd like, but do not skip the ease out or you could get sick. The ease in is held for three days and consists of slowly but surely cutting down on what you eat. It begins by eating only alive foods like fruits and vegetables and then eating a liquid only diet of broths and smoothies and finishes with a day of orange juice drinking. After that you just commit anywhere from seven days to a couple weeks, drinking simply lemonade and water. The lemonade has to be produced from scratch without having store bought concentrate (except for the maple syrup). Then, during the ease out, you start gradually reintroducing solid foods back into your diet.

During this lemonade diet portion you will need to take a laxative every day. Salted water is usually ingested when you take your laxative because it helps improve the efficacy of the laxative's effect on your system. This forces your body to excrete and, when it doesn’t have leftover food to use (like it usually does when you eat normally) it will resort to pushing out all of the other things that have been building up in your system. Take steps against laxative caused dehydration by drinking plenty of pure water all day.

The basic safety and added advantages of this diet are still being debated by professionals. It must only be done for one or two weeks at any given time. Any lengthier than that and you risk doing permanent damage to your health. Your physician can help you find out all of the real risks and benefits associated with completing the Master Cleanse.
