Bristol is a thriving city in south west England with a population of around 421,000 residents. It has a wide range of businesses, shops, entertainment venues and educational establishments. As such, there is always a strong demand for flats to rent. These may be large luxurious apartments, small studio flats, and every possible variety of apartment in between, for example one bedroom flats, two bedroom apartments, or residences with many more bedrooms. The demand for such residential accommodation comes from a broad range of different people, and the aim of this article is to explore some of the wide variety of the population who may wish to find the best type of residential property to let in the area that will suit their needs.

Workers of all types and the general business community is a large category of people who may wish to rent a flat in Bristol, which is a centre for all kinds of business, large and small. One of the reasons for this is that the city is well served by train routes, roads and motorways. Examples of roads and motorways that serve the city of Bristol are the M4, M5, M9 and M32. Rail services that go in and out of Bristol include CrossCountry, First Great Western and South West Trains. Itinerant factory workers may rent a bedsit near to their place of work. This will usually serve them well for the period of time that they are working in the area. Business executives who are sent to the city from another branch of the business may have a rented apartment arranged for them by their company.

As mentioned at the start of this article, Bristol has numerous educational establishments in its environs, and for this reason students are a large category of the population who will be seeking property to rent in the area. This is because many students will have to leave home to travel to their place of study and learning. Some examples of centres of educational endeavor in and around the city include Brendan's Sixth Form College, North Bristol Post 16 Centre, Radcliffe Sixth Form Centre, City of Bristol College, Filton College, University of Bristol and the University of the West of England. Many of these educational establishments will have people who can assist students in finding rented accommodation such as a small flat or possible a large residence to share with other students.

For many people these days, the first point of call for information on any subject is the web, and the city has the benefit of a rich variety of comprehensive sources of information for those wishing to learn more about the facilities and amenities that are available in the centre of the city and the surrounding areas. Some examples of interesting websites that should be studied by people wishing to get involved in the city are www.visitbristol.co.uk and www.at-bristol.org.uk which provide much useful information. Other examples of useful online sources of facts and figures include www.bristol.gov.uk and www.thisisbristol.co.uk which are both useful guides.
