Mind Chatter
I usually raise myself of my involvement in this mess of a political world. How a lot of easier would life be without being driven to alter the globe, in whatever little approach, every single day?
Many individuals are born driven. Born to look at, question , and live every single day in perpetual motion.
I am one of those people. My sentence-for lack of a better word-in this life is to fight against oppression.
The alternate selection?
Flight. And those that have chosen flight are the happy-go-lucky creatures, those of us who go about their merry method each single day, oblivious to the going-ons around them.
The fighters aren't such happy folks. In my political wanderings, I've got heard so many concerned in the fight specific the would like to awaken happy and refreshed each day, instead of angry and pumped up and physically charged. Several remember life previous to the "call to arms" and wistfully wonder if the come to such a mindset is possible.
The constant rush of taking up the responsibility of "saving the globe" ends up in a major stress from which it is difficult to calm oneself. Our minds constantly chatter. Restful sleep is impossible. Physical repercussions-teeth grinding, restless leg syndrome, headaches, simply to call a few-demonstrate the body's chemical inability to "come back down" from the strain high.
In other words....
Our body chemistry is whacked.
Once in an exceedingly whereas, our inner voice, the calm Voice of Reason, calls "time" in an attempt to relax the physiological responses elicited in those who feel compelled to save lots of the world. At these times, fighters get the urge to "take 5"-walk the beach, climb a mountain, happy hour, no matter works-in order to jump off the hamster wheel. When the inner voice breaks through, that's a certain sign that the fighter mind is shut to a brief-circuit.
We "come down" only to seek out the high of involvement.
Are we tend to addicted to the fight as a result of of the physiological response of the stress cycle?
May we withdraw from the battle even if we wished?
Have we tend to established our own dependency groups by seeking out our own through blogs and forums? An Net FA (Fighters Anonymous) from which we tend to are hopelessly hooked?
Hi. I am Sharon. I'm a Fighter.
Hi Sharon.
Or do fighters merely have the Right Stuff? The fortitude demonstrated by our country's forefathers to "right" the incorrect?
My family entered this country in the late 1600's. Each single day, life was a struggle to survive. Clearly, the struggle proved successful as generation once generation of my family moved forth and prospered.
Thus, is that the fight genetic, in my blood as a result of of the drive of these whose bits of DNA intertwine with my very own?
Do I have the genetic predisposition to become physically passionate about the fight for what's inalienably right?
This can be what I do know.
The decision of my past, of those that fought the fight before me, has passed the torch my way.
I've got a stake in this country, an obligation to fight the nice fight.
A sensible night's sleep is simply not in the cards on behalf of me this flip around the hamster wheel.
