To accomplish success in life, we need to have many qualities, one of the qualities is courage. It allows us to take action and make important decisions that may affect others as well as our life. Without courage, we would always get stuck in a status quo and mediocrity.

When you build courage, you put fear behind you. Note that courage is not about the absence of fear; rather it is about admitting that you have fears and how you respond to them. Knowing how to respond and manage fears is KEY to building courage to combat and defeat fears in your life.

You see, it is ok to experience fears at appropriate times so that you can respond to it. For instance, if a bus is heading in your path, you have a right to fear and respond to the situation. There is nothing wrong with healthy fear as long as you don't allow them to take control of your life and paralyze your action.

Courageous people are responsible people. They have the courage to take responsibility, if they make mistakes, they will admit it and take responsibility to take corrective actions. They are not afraid to say that they have make mistakes and take steps to solve problems and prevent the same mistakes to occur again.

When there is a problem, courageous people don't start to point finger and accuse other people. They have the courage to step back and take a bird eye view of the whole situation. This allows them to see the problem in a more objective way and produce effective solution. If they make mistake, they are the first to admit it, they are not afraid of taking responsibility and blame. Courageous people are able to learn to accept punishment and rewards gracefully.

Courageous people always have the ability to step to the front, rather than stepping back when opportunities come their way. That is the reason why courageous people have better chances of success compared to those who never take any action to explore any opportunity that may have crossed their path.

Another great quality of courageous people that I must mention is that they know how to prepare contingency plan. When something bad happens, they always have a backup plan because courageous people are forward thinking and they are well prepared to take life challenges head on.

Courageous people also have the ability to build trust with others. To become successful and improve your life you will need to learn how to trust yourself and others. When you trust youself, you can trust others as well. Unfortunately, we live in a world where trust is hard to find. Therefore, it is important that you have the courage to trust yourself and others as well.

Many of us are fearful of facing challenges in life and make decisions that can impact our life. But, the only way to overcome fears is to have the courage to face it head on. When you have the courage to look at fears on the eyes, your fears will subside and disappear quickly.
