Take a look at that title again. It sounds like one of the hardest things you could ever try and do, doesn’t it? But you may be surprised to find that it doesn’t have to be as hard as you think. Sometimes just opening yourself up to the possibility that you have a life purpose at all is enough to make it appear.

The key to finding it however is the same each and every time. You have to think consciously about it and let your mind wander in order to come to the correct answer for you. Note those last two words - ‘for you’. It’s no good asking other people what their life purposes are and going with some form of theirs. Everyone has a different purpose in life and if you settle for someone else’s you won’t be happy.

The benefits of brainstorming

Some people seem to think they can sit down, start thinking about what their life purpose could be and come up with an answer in a minute or two. Don’t be surprised to learn it could take a little longer than this! A lot depends on how open minded you are right now. If you are willing to explore things and consider all the options you will be likely to come across the key to your life a lot sooner.

Brainstorming can make it a lot easier to uncover your life’s purpose as well. A lot of people find they can do this quite easily on a sheet of paper. If you aren’t sure where to begin, think about other famous people whom you know have found their purpose in life. Think of Mother Teresa for example - her purpose was quite simply to help others in whatever way she could.

What are you passionate about?

There is passion behind every purpose in life. A famous spiritualist once said that they wrote books in order to introduce more people to the idea of spirituality. They were passionate about it because they believed in it and they could not imagine having a life without spirituality being an essential part of it.

You may not be spiritual, and indeed your life purpose may have nothing to do with religion at all. But it should make you feel passionate and it should be something you cannot leave alone.

This is why signs of your life’s purpose are probably already showing through in your life as it is now. Identifying it fully and starting to live according to your life’s purpose will enable you to feel more fulfilled and peaceful on a daily basis. Feeling fulfilled is the best feeling you could ever have, so ask yourself now - do you feel like that yet or is there work still to be done to discover what you are here for?
