Unless you're an ostrich with its head stuck in the sand (I got to see that in person some day), you have an email list, are actively capturing new leads, and are using it to stay in contact with your customers.

If your not, I'm told it sucks being an ostrich.

If you are utilizing your list, you're probably making a good amount of money sending out emails to your prospects and cdustomer son a regular basis.

However you are probably missing this element that can make you even more money. Let me show you how...

It's really quite simple. At the top of these emails you send out, you can simply add a little text "box" that has a small ad promoting another list, one of your other products, or any affiliate products you're promoting.

That's it, it's just like an ezine ad you see in any ezines you're subscribed to. However this time, it's your ad.

Just create a little box and write, "Today's Sponsor" at the top, and then write your ezine-like sponsor ad.

That's it folks. You will instantly start producing more opt-ins for other lists you want to promote, sales of your other products, or affiliate commissios.

Now, let's look at some specific types of emails that you can easily do this with.

1. Thank You emails, such as conformation emails that are sent when someone signs up for your opt-in list.
2. Receipts. If you're not sending out receipts when someone purchases something, you should be. This is perfect place to promote something else as nobody is really looking for it (surprise is a good thing at times)
3. Unsubscribe emails. They're leaving anyway, so why not hit them up for one last offer? This has actually produced great results for me personally.

It doesn't always need to be in the form of a sponsor ad. You can also use some other creative styles, like an endorsement. For example:

Let's say someone signs up for your list about email marketing. In your thank you/welcome email you can say something like this:

"Thank you for subscribing to my "email marketing tips" ezine. You will be receiving your next issue very soon. In the meantime, if you're interested in studying some advanced email techniques, I highly recommend you grab a copy of..."

Well, that's it. I think you can see how easy it really is, but the potential for earning you a nice additional stream of revenue.

Keep in mind, for example, that people signing up for your ezine are looking for more information. Good marketing is always about finding your potential customers in the right mindset to make a purchase. So don't let it go to waste!
