That may seem like strange advice. Depriving yourself of necessary foods, however, is something to avoid when caring for a new baby. Reducing certain foods that play a vital role might have the effect of slowing down the weight loss process. New mothers actually have enough on their minds as it is without the added burden of having to conform to a strict diet. It isn't going to help you right now if you start trying to cut out foods that you crave. If you just listen to your body, you will lose that weight! Some women hold onto their baby weight longer than others. Whereas in other situations, you can lose weight by the simple "fewer calories, more exercise" formula, in this case you have to be more cautious. As a new mother, you are not in the same position as you were at other times in your life. For right now, then, when you think about losing weight, you have to keep your own health, and that of your baby, in mind. Don't worry about it too much: you will get there!
