A way to Stop Anxiety Attacks While not Medication
Anxiety attacks are horrifying! But you can stop them. And you'll forestall them without medication. Here, you'll discover what triggers anxiety attacks and how to prevent them quite naturally.
Typically, doctors prescribe medication such as anti-depressants, tranquilizers and even beta-blockers for anxiety and anxiety attacks. The anti-depressants for managing your 'mood', tranquilizers for 'calming' you, and, beta-blockers to assist manage a number of the physical symptoms of anxiety.
And though drug-based medication can facilitate some individuals, not all anxiety sufferers find them helpful, not least as a result of of their potentially serious facet effects, that embrace dependency issues. Which is why individuals are increasingly -- perhaps this is you -- seeking out natural ways in which to treat anxiety, while not recourse to drugs.
However, so as to best perceive just how natural remedies for anxiety can work for you, and, the essential key needed to unlock your cure, you initially want to perceive how anxiety attacks will be triggered...
We tend to want to travel back tons of thousands of years, and image our forefathers living and surviving in a very very wild, hostile surroundings; where it definitely was the 'survival of the fittest.' And the human body, being one thing quite miraculous, was pre-equipped (and still is) to provide the individual the greatest attainable probability to survive and prosper.
For instance, at the very 'whiff' of danger to the body, chemical reactions were triggered in the brain that created split-second physical and emotional responses within the body. These gave the person under threat the greatly enhanced capability to fight an enemy or wild animal, or, to run away to safety. This is often why we have a tendency to decision this the body's 'fight or flight' response.
However how does all that relate to today, I hear you raise? Well, although the possibilities are that you aren't going to be confronted by a pack of wild animals or a neighbouring tribe, wanting to tear you limb from limb (lol), all your body desires to be faced with is that the 'perception' that you're in danger. You see, the human body extremely is marvelous; it does not take any probabilities along with your life. If there's even a sense of danger, it does not wait around to test and make sure it, it takes no chances and just triggers its fight or flight response!
So, in today's society, what can presumably 'trick' the mind into thinking that you're in danger when you actually are not?...
If you suffer from anxiety attacks then you have already got over (your) traditional levels of stress and anxiety. There might be a variety of reasons for this, however the result's that you constantly worry, stress and even obsess on a daily basis. And most likely about things that you would have taken in your stride within the past.
Now, in your vulnerable state, all it takes is for your stress / anxiety to rise even a lot of, due to a stressful event or scenario, such as sitting (or studying for) an exam, being stuck in traffic, searching during a terribly crowded supermarket, etc. The end result is that your overall anxiety levels are increased dramatically enough to 'fool' your mind into believing that you are beneath threat, and therefore the fight or flight response is triggered.
The changes that that causes all over your body (e.g. blood pressure, heart rate, muscle enhancement, vision enhancement, etc.) ends up in you experiencing some or all of the following symptoms; racing heart, tightness across your chest, nausea, tingling feeling in your extremities, dizziness / wooziness, irregular breathing, a feeling of not being connected to reality / being detached, a sense that you're about to die even, etc. You're having a horrifying anxiety attack!
Currently, to stop anxiety attacks, most individuals attempt to eliminate their general anxiety first. And there are various natural remedies and therapies to help you do this, e.g. hypnosis, psychotherapy, counselling, meditation, yoga, acupuncture, deep breathing exercises, visualization techniques, music therapy, etc.
But the key to unlocking the important mystery of how to stop panic attacks is to recognise that you have a true fear of having more anxiety attacks. You see, once having suffered the horrifying symptoms, you clearly never need to repeat that experience. Therefore you end up with a conscious or unconscious 'worry' of having one. And guess what? This terribly concern (being anxiety) builds up on your already high anxiety levels and triggers another anxiety attack!
Therefore, rather than operating on your general anxiety first (with your worry of hysteria attacks continuously within the background), you wish to get rid of your concern and thus get away of this vicious cycle of; anxiety >> anxiety attack >> concern >> additional anxiety >> another anxiety attack >> a lot of fear >> etc. Then, once having banished your worry of attacks, which will facilitate stop more attacks, you can then work on effectively eliminating your general anxiety.
And, the primary stage in this method, is to understand that your anxiety attacks can't harm you. As you currently grasp, they're simply the symptoms of a perceived threat that doesn't even exist. The next step is to learn and utilize a technique to assist you eliminate your concern of tension attacks.
