So, since hypnosis merely creates an altered state of mind, and since persuasion revolves around the power of suggestion, hypnosis can be practiced in many different ways as a tool to alter people's behavior. For these reasons, hypnosis is used both in the art of persuasion and in therapy.
The type of hypnosis that is used for the power of persuasion is referred to as covert hypnosis. Like any other kind of persuasion, covert hypnosis uses the art of suggestion to give you consistent results. However, because this type of hypnosis is covert, the suggestions that you will be planting in people's minds will be far more indirect than the suggestions that are installed in people's minds through therapeutic hypnosis.
Covert hypnosis also utilizes all forms of suggestion. This means that covert hypnosis uses non verbal suggestions just as much if not even more than it uses verbal suggestions. There can be nothing as covert and under the radar as suggesting something to somebody without having to even speak a word to them.
Even the verbal forms of suggestion that covert persuasion uses are extremely hard for a person to notice. So, instead of saying something to someone directly, you will be saying it to them indirectly to the point where it will not be obvious to the person whom you are speaking to that you're actually suggesting to them that they do something that you want them to do. This is why covert hypnosis is perfect to integrate into the art of mind control, because you can modify people's emotions and decision making processes without them being aware of it. This means that people can't resist you because they will not be conscious of anything to resist.
Another covert persuasion technique that can be applied is to control social environments. By taking control of social environments, you will be seen as an authority figure. When you have powerful groups and alliances at your disposal, you increase your social value to the point where it will be simple for you to get what you would like from other people.
