Jesus was teaching spiritual principles, however man for its own reasons created Christianity concerning Jesus instead of what he was attempting to teach. Jesus was trying to show us to attach to a universal consciousness not some all powerful being that watched over us sort of a guard dog ready to bite us and punish us once we did some wrong determined by man. Jesus teachings were to lead man into discovering his larger existence within the universe. Man sadly for hundreds of years have believed that the world we tend to live in is the whole universe. Man has believed what we have a tendency to experience with our five senses is all there's to the universe. Even thought there's a lot of proof to the contrary, man persists in his restricted read of his existence. Religion is an aid within the persistence of limiting thought.
In the NIV bible, John four:24 Jesus states, "God is spirit, and his worshipers should worship in spirit and in truth."
This is often one amongst the scriptures that Jesus makes an announcement that's meant to be universal in nature. Man has currently defined what a worshiper is and the consequences when he will not fit the definition. Did Jesus intend his teaching to separate man or to unite? Faith says we tend to all have to fit a definition of worshiper. Jesus had principles that taught us HOW to worship.
John seven:sixteen Jesus answered, "my teaching in not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to try and do God's will, he can notice out whether or not my teaching comes from God or whether or not I speak on my own."
This scripture is spoken figuratively by Jesus. He says ...HIM who sent me. Can God be someone, or did Jesus mean a universal force? What's God's will and the way do you select it? Who decides your alternative? Who decides where his teachings come from?
Religion believes they have answered those questions and they have answered them for anyone that believes in the ascribed dogma. Jesus was giving us formulas to search out out for ourselves. How does one grasp that the teachings of Jesus return from God? After they explore for the that means for themselves. When that person goes within and starts to raise the laborious questions.
John eight:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I'm the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Faith created this scripture and statement regarding the man. Figuratively Jesus was saying that he will teach us how to recognize our eternal selves. If we follow his TEACHINGS he can give us the knowledge.
One of the foremost damaging verses to mankind and his universality is John fourteen:half-dozen Jesus answered, "I'm the means and the reality and therefore the life. No one involves the Father except through me."
This one verse man has taken literally from Jesus. He meant that through his teachings man would be enlightened. Religion created it about THE MAN Jesus instead of regarding the universal enlightenment of man. Religion has separated mankind from its understanding of his place in the universe for thousands of years. We have among us an enormous reservoir of knowledge. We need to be brave enough to step outside the accepted NORMS of faith to discover that knowledge. That's what the teachings of Jesus was about. Not the dogmatic rants of self proclaimed disciples. Does a teacher TELL you how to suppose? Or is a teacher to grant you a foundation on which to make?
It's time for us to wake up. We have gotten lost in religion. Our purpose is much greater and our information additional vast than any non secular thought can enable us to perceive. Religion controls through concern and misinformation, giving us concepts of a vengeful God and hell. We have a tendency to should open our minds to the eternal wisdom of our souls. Not to the finite rants of preachers. We have a tendency to all have infinite talents that Jesus alluded to within the scripture. You've got to be brave enough to analyze for yourself and strong enough to face up to thousands of years of ignorance. Spirituality is personal and liberating. Faith is bastion of fearful and confining thought.
