Anxiety treatments basically fall into two categories. Anti depressants include such medications as sertraline, fluvoxamine etc. Anti depressants act over a period of time, so don’t expect quick results. You should take these medications only under the direction of your doctors. Beta blockers are actually medicines recommended for the treatment of heart diseases. They are however used for such purposes in order to control the physical manifestations of the panic attacks. These may also include a heart that is beating faster, trembling of the limbs and other symptoms.
