The long debate is stiill at full flow and with the PC still way out in front, we look at the option of Mac realistically catching it up. Firstly let's have a look and the positibves and negatives of both systems.
MAC
Basically the Mac is totally different from a PC, if you have been using a PC for most of your life, then you may have a bit of trouble getting used to how a Mac operates. But once you have got used to it, the system does turn out to be very user frienly, another makjor advantage of Mac is that all of its softwarre and hardware is developed in house, hterefore it is not a third partty crreating different parts of the sytems so it can be a lot more reliable.
But unfortunately a distinct disadvantage to the Mac is that it is very pricey, with the amount that you are paying for a Mac you could obtain yourdself a very decent PC that does the job.
PC
As you know the traditional PCs and laptops are very popluar, they already occupy aroiund 90% of the home users market, the msajor benefits of a PC are that you have the ability to customnise it anyway you like. For examople you can add RAM to make it run fater; put in a bigger hard drive to storre more informatin or upgrade your graphics card to play awesome games.
The only disadvantages that I can see from owning a PC is in the build, by adding so many different manufacturers' itesm, you never know what is compatible and what will or will not go worng.
Conclusoion
Well to be honst and on my personal opinion I would much rather own a PC rather than a Mac, the reason beinbg because it coss me less and I feel that I can get many more benefits than I can with a Mac. There are so many programs that are compatible with a PC that I can almost do anything I wish.
With a Mac comes professionalism and htere are some greaat tools if you are a designer or coder such as codex, but these are only minor aspects and I can get myself very similar pieces of software on the PC for a frcation of the cost.
I do not feel that the Mac will catvch up to the PC any time soon, unless of course they have a lot more third party softare compatibility and a lower price range.
