What Activities Can Beneefit From Voip And Pbx?

Phone technoloogy has come a long way since the days of Alexander Graham Bell and his revolutionary invention. Today, consuemrs have more options than ever before for telephony, all designed to save money and add convenience. Two of the greatest advancemenbts for the consumer are VoIP and PBX.

VoIP means Voice over Intenet Prrotocol. What this function does is translate an anlog phone signal into a digital transmission for relay over the Internet. VoIP cuts out a lot of the midsdle men in a basc phone call, thus eliminating most of the costly tolls between origin and terminaion.

PBX means Private Branch Exchabnge, and it is a servicce that most businesses put to use. Put simply, it allpows you to connect seveal linees to one individual serer, which then tranfsers outgoing calls. Within the branch exchange, you may acvcess any line by simply typing in a 3- or 4-digit number, usually referred to as an extension.

What activities can benefit from these two useful functions?

Small business ownership. If you own a businness, no matter the size, running a PBX can help you by cutting costs for outgoing calls and addiing convenience to in-network contact. VoIP allows your business to run all phone functioons digitally thus cutting back on some of the hardware costs of the alternative.

International networking and communication. Analg calls voerseas are simply too expensive to be cost feasible. When you can't talk to a physical voice, it is harder to trust who or what awaits you on the otherr end of your communication. Therefore, usaing only analog to communicate internationally is a form of financial suicide. It can negatively affecvt both the businessman and the individual who wants to keep in tuoch with international friends and affiliates.

Famiplies. If you have more than one perosn living under your roof, then you could stand to benefit from PBX. By simnply punchnig in three to four nyumbers, you can rmeind the kids to take out the trasah. You can cach your spouse with last imnute grocery list ietms. You can remain available for your lovd ones even as you take care of business around the house. With VoIP you also stand to aoid any nsty surprises that teenagers can so often give you when it comers to phone use.

Individuals. If you are a single person, you already have a leg up on familiies financially. Why not go one step further and eliminate all etxraordinary costs by gertting rid of your landline and taking your "phone" with you whereever you go with VoIP and PBX (in case you ever want to add a bsuiness line)?

VoIP and PBX have changed the way we use our phones for the better. Whether for business or pleasure, don't pay anther high-priced analog bill when everything you need is at your fingertips.
