The authority of an internet site influences its standing within the search results on Google plus other search engines. If you are looking to see your web page on Google's first result page, you have to ensure that search engines trust your site.
There is a lot of things which you could do to point out search engines that the website is trustworthy:
1. Get links from seed web sites or from web pages which are linked from seed sites
Seed sites are internet sites which are manually manifest as trustworthy from the search engine owners. Such as, if Apple.com is chosen as being a seed site by Google then a link from Apple.com could have a positive result over the Trust Rank of the website.
Naturally, it is very difficult to get a link from a trusted seed site. Fortunately, the websites which are linked from the seed sites also have a encouraging result on a linked sites.
If Apple.com links to web page site2.com, web page site2.com links to website site3.com and web page site3.com links to your website then your site will still get a good TrustRank.
2. Acquire links from related websitesDoes your internet site acquire links from related websites and does it link to other related websites?
Is your website a lonely island without links from and to other web pages or is it integrated deep in a network that offers having a special topic? The better your website is integrated in the network of topical sites (by diverse owners), the more likely it's that the website is an effective resource for that topic.
3. Never link to spam website pages
Steer clear of links to internet websites of doubtful quality. If a website is a recognized spammer, don't link to the site at all.
If you link to such a site, you show search engines that you support them and that your own site should not be trusted too much.
5. Seek to generate links from social networks
The more often your website is brought up on social media web sites, the more likely it can be your web site is a trustworthy top quality site. The more votes your bookmarks on social media sites get, the better.
6. Offer more than a few internet sites
An internet site that consists of just one page will not be considered an authority site. Search engines want to point out good internet sites with good quality content inside the search results.
If your internet site has many pages that contain great content about a certain topic then it is far easier to getting a good Trust Rank.
If search engines trust your website, it is way easier to have high rankings. If you need to figure out if your web site has all the elements which are needed to get high rankings on Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines probe your web site with IBP's Top 10 Optimizer.
