Dust build up is a nightmare for all computer systems out there. Removing the dust from off your machine is a chore in itself, but it can also be a hindrance for your machine. I will try to explain to you the negative effects of dust build up on your machine and the different steps that you can take to get rid of this burden that is present in literally every household today.

Every computer system has at least one cooler that is used to keep your systems CPU both clear and cool. Unfortunately, although ironic, of all the components, it's the one that's most likely to be chocked by dust build up.

The dust will naturally settle on your systems components and motherboard after sometime; after several months which can vary depending on the design of your systems case, the dust that has built up around your machine will create an insulating blanket that will prohibit your systems ability to cool down its components.

Another possibility is dust building up in and around your power supply unit. If and when this happens, it can result in your PSU supplying the incorrect voltage to your computer, resulting in system failure.

In order to battle this prevailing problem, I suggest you go to your local hardware store and purchase a can of compressed air; you can use it to blow the settled dust from off your computer systems components while at the same time, not having to worry about damaging your computer systems components in the process.
