Whether you should use a PC cleaner or not is probably one of the most commonly asked question. For a long time, I wondered the same thing, until I took it upon myself to try one out. I chose one of the most popular brands; I won't say the name of the product, because it's of little significance to this article.
I was impressed at first glance, the installation process was easy and relatively quick to initiate. All I had to do was press one button for the program to go through an entire cleaning process. The whole process took around 20 seconds to complete, after which, I was presented with a report, which outlined what was cleaned up and how much memory was preserved. It found quite a lot of trash in my system, much to my surprise.
All in all this program has been able to removed up to 4GB of data from my system every week or so, which is a fairly substantial amount, especially if you consider a computer system that is not being regularly monitored or cleaned with any PC cleaner software.
The amount of data it was able to remove from my system, obviously doesn't apply to all computer users, but ultimately, the constant build up of redundant files, can most certainly lead to errors and other problems on your system. Personally I feel PC cleaner software is ideal for your casual internet surfer who doesn't use he's/her system too often, as it can help in avoiding any situations deemed unpleasant.
