Web Designers and Web Developers - What is the Difference?

So what is the distinction? Well for a start, Internet Developers are rubbish at coming up with websites, and Internet Designers are rubbish at creating websites really work. Developers haven't any artistic creativity in any respect, and absolutely no plan that color goes with what. Pantones what? CMYK what? Forget it. Developers cannot even match their handbags to their shoes. They'll cut graphics up which they've been given and optimise them for the web but that is as far as it goes. Secondly, Web Developers cannot incorporate your beautiful net design into any quite printed literature. The Designers are the ones who take care of your company identity right across the breadth of your marketing activities, and that they speak to printers in language they can understand. Developers can't try this (and don't need to try to to that).
Thus it pains me to say it, but Developers want Designers to keep feeding them beautiful styles as a result of they're merely not genetically equipped to do it themselves.
However, these photos of websites they produce, these styles, will stay photos until the Net Developer gets his/her hands on it and brings it to life on the internet. Yes, it is the developer who truly makes it work. And it is the Developer who spends 10 times longer getting it to work than the Designer did drawing it!
Unless the Designer is terribly acquainted with net work, the Developer will be presented with impossible tasks. Planning for print could be a far cry from coming up with for the internet as a result of the internet style is something that is purposeful, it's navigation requirements, generally complicated ones, and the planning has to require this into account. After all website navigation could be a key aspect of the design, and if it's not right the Developer can pass it back to the Designer who then has to travel back to the client.
The Designer also needs a smart understanding of what is technically attainable therefore they'll design their widgets with confidence. And if you're VERY lucky, you will return across a designer who conjointly has an understanding of what works well for the search engines. So I will admit, designers do need SOME technical understanding, much like they need some technical understanding of the print process.
But let's not get carried away here, Internet Designers still draw pictures all day and Net Developers still write code all day and every one night.
Therefore, the Designer is that the one who is responsible for putting your corporate image across on the web and giving your web site that 'wow issue'; the one thing that can create a good initial impression (because as we all understand, you simply get one probability to form a sensible first impression). But the poor Developer is that the one in the back area cutting the look up and coding it up so that it works not solely efficiently, but just as the Designer (and also the client) had envisaged.
