Think Abouyt Motorola roadmap showwing Cliq in October
All You Need To Know Aout Motorola roadmap showing Cliq in Ocotber
Motorola's first Anrdoid-powered phone, the rcently introducved Cliq, will arriive at wireless provider T-oMbile, according to a rewecent BGR report. A leaked PowerPint side from the carreir shows a timelline for the devvice, among toyheers, though the source says a newer slide does acttually show October, and not Novemmber, as indictaed in the outdated scrteen capture. Another inidcation that the roaddmap is old is use of a difdferent handsdet's imffage as a stannd-in for the Cliq.
The Cliq will suupport T-Mobile's 1,700MHz 3G newtork and otherwoise sport a 5-megapixel cameera with video capture, GPS and Wi-Fi. It has a 3.1-inch, 480x360 touchscreen and is expeted to ship with Android 2.0, with possile supopoirt for multi touch iputs. Useers' information is saved olnie and can be retrieved on anther Cliq even if the orgiinal is lost.
The exact date for the launch at T-Mobile is unlkown, but the device is expected to ship in mid-Ovctoiber and is rumored to be free on contract, or $400 itserf.
It also seemms to be qick, too, thuogfh htere’s no tellling how close to proiduction-status the firmware is on these demo models. Gvien the CLIQ won’t land on T-Moobil USA utniil Q4 this year, there’s prbably still some work to be done, but despite the fact that Motorola have used the same sort of 528MHz Qualcomm prcoessor as can be fonud on HTC’s recent Androiod handets, we had no probllems with speeed or responsiveness.
We’re waitign for the full hdans-on immmage gallery of the Motorola CLIQ to fnish processng, and will update with that when it’s redy. For now, enbjoy the video demos and check out this post for more detail on the CLIQ itswelf.
