So you desire to be self-employed. You've searched around for a business that you can do from home, something easy... something that will make you a lot of cash fast and with little or no effort. You have decided to go into Online Marketing because you heard that it was the best alternative to make some rapid cash, but do you have what it takes?
Has anyone tried to sell you on this myth? "In Internet Marketing, you can get rich almost overnight." Well, the fact of the matter is that is actually half correct!
I guess I’m no different than anybody else because I thought I would get rich overnight too. But after a few weeks of not seeing those magical results that I had read about I figured it out for myself. So before you get too excited you ought to understand that you won't exactly get rich in a single day.
Nevertheless if you invest sufficient time to learn the business, and if you invest more time in developing the right business, then it won't be long before you will know what you are doing and in just a few months to a year later others will look at you and say, "Wow, where did this guy come from? He must be an overnight sensation!"
But if nobody else understands the truth, you know better. You know that you worked hard and long to lay a foundation of learning, labored on your business tirelessly, and now you are reaping the benefits.
Now here is where most people mess up their careers: They feel they ought to be making a five figure income their first month in the business and when they don't, they give up. Or... they look at a business, realize it will only yield them a small amount in the first month and then decide it's just not worth their time. But they fail to realize that if they would only work that business, they might find that every month they earn a little more and a little more, until one day they have a full-time income with their part-time business. It's not magic; it just plain works.
Real estate investors start with one small property. Stock market investors start with one stock or mutual fund. Franchise owners start with one store and a lot of debt and slowly they work their way up. You can too.
You have heard about the magic of compound interest. Internet Marketing is the same way. You might work hard this month and only make a small amount of money. Next month, you don't work quite so hard, yet because of the strong foundation you laid, you make much more. The following month, less work than the previous month with even more profit.
If you grow your business sale by sale, and day by day, soon you will look back and know that you have what it takes to be a successful Online Marketer because you didn’t quit.
