If you would like to be successful in today’s world of online marketing it is imperative that you establish and continue a presence on the Web. With so many businesses and individuals competing for a chunk of the online cash pie creating your own unique presence can at times turn out to be quite a difficult feat to accomplish.
The more well-known you are to people on the web the more promise of creating a lasting income you will have. The best place to begin is in the world of social networking. Almost everyone who spends time on the web is a member of a social network. Therefore one of the first things you should do is establish your own social network. Then invite your friends and family to join you on your social network and watch it develop. The more familiar you become in the cyber universe the more likely your potential of establishing an income—both instantaneous and lasting. When people become friendly with you or your business on the Internet you will begin to earn money. Visualize the possibility of earning money while you are on vacation, having fun with your family and friends, or even while you are sleeping!
Your internet presence is the best solution to marketing that you will ever possess, but being present is only the beginning. You must originate a memorable presence—something that people can effortlessly remember, irrespective of whether it is a slogan, a logo, a name or a product, if you are going to be successful in the world of internet marketing people must remember you. Establish blogs and videos, write articles and send emails, and after that do it all over again. Give away free eBooks, offer free newsletters and do it again and again and again.
Rule 1…
The simplest and most effective way to be remembered is through repetition. Repeat your product and your offer over and over and over again. Nevertheless be conscientious not to confuse repetition with annoyance because only a thin line separates the two. Novice internet marketers often make the mistake of purchasing email addresses more popularly known as “leads” and start a mass e-mail campaign in an effort to build a customer base. I can’t tell you of a better way to destroy your business than to begin soliciting unwanted e-mail. NEVER send people an e-mail advertising your product or your business without their consent. Purchased leads never produce the same result as opt-in leads. Opt-in leads are people who willingly request that you send them information because they are shopping around for what you have to offer with the additional incentive of having the option of not being annoyed with your e-mails if they decide that they do not want to hear from you again.
Rule 2…
Be unique – Even though you are advertising a product or a service that thousands of people and businesses are promoting you must be exclusive in your method of promotion. Originality is always remembered. Find ways of getting attention and above all, never appear ordinary. People are gravitated toward the uncommon and even if you come across to your audience as being a little strange, they will remember you if for nothing more than being strange. Online marketing success does not come by way of a miracle but by hard work and persistence.
Rule 3…
Always – ALWAYS be personal in your communication. No one wants to be considered as just another number in a crowd. When you write your ads and e-mails write as though you are talking to someone you know personally, such as a friend or a family member. Be believable and above all, be informed. If people get the conception that you do not know what you’re talking about they will run away and nothing you could ever say would make them return.
Rule 4…
Be persistent and steady. If you are blogging and no one ever replies to your blogs do not stop blogging. Just because people are not replying to your blogs does not automatically mean that no one is reading them. Continue writing about things that people want to know. Your e-mail campaigns should never stop— Never! Whether you send a new email every day, every other day, or two or three times a week, do not stop sending them.
As a competitor your goal should always be to be successful. Just remember… If you quit you will never win and once you win you won't quit!
Be visible, and grow your business.
