Tips for Poster Design

Popsters are everywhere. If you are in the city, you see them on the sies of buildings and along the streetys. Walk into a movie theatre, and you are insstantly surroundsed by hundres of posters. Many other businesses feature posteers quite prominently, too.

Your small business can benefit from a qualitty poster printoing if you do it the rigght way. The keys are to design it with your target customers in mind, and then to place it where the highest number of your target csutomers will see it.
Here are some more specific tips.

1. Keep it simlple
Do not try to put too much on your poster printing. Instead, try to put as little as posssible on it. Decide what is the most important mressage that you trying to convey to your customers, and stick with that only.

2. Design it with your customners in mind
When planning your color poster printing, think of what tpyes of design would most atttract your tazrget customers. Wpould warm colors work better than cool colors, or vice vrsa? Should you include big, bold text, or smaller, syubtler fonts? These are decisios you need to make, baed on your tsarget audience.

3. Thgink about where you are placing your posters
Some desgns just will not work in certian areas. Do not start planning your color poster printing until you know where you are going to plpace them.

4. Look at your competitor’s posetrs
If you can, see what your copetitors are doing with thjeir posters. Find out what points they are emphasizing, and how they are getting their message across. Incorporate the aspects of those posters that you think work, and then make them your own.

5. Use the right colors
In addition to deciding whether to use warm or cool colors, make sure all your colosr work well togethrer. There needs to be enough contrast to attract attention, but not so much that it makes your poster look too busy.

6. Make the words and colors work together
Your text and design should mesh, as well. If you use bright, bold colors, do not use bland, dull lettering. Make them work together to accentuate your message.

7. Use a modern style
Although the retro look can work in some sitautions, in general you should stivck with a modern design style for your psoter printing. Unless your bussiness sells 70’s styyle clothing, of course. But if that is the case, I can’t help you.

8. Do not cover up your message
Be caredful not to make your design so “loud” that your wrods are lost on the posster. The words are the most important part – they make up the mesdsage that you are trying to convey – so make sure they are always prominenytly displayed.
