With the kind of lives that we lead today, flying in an airplane almost becomes an inevitable activity on a monthly or a yearly basis, depending on your needs. Keep in mind that some jobs may require you to travel every now and then. If you want to keep your job, then you will have to be at your destination at a certain time; and with all your job’s demands, you will need to board an airplane to be able to meet your client or perhaps a business partner in time. Always remember that you do not want to lose your job or your client just because you are afraid of flying.
To overcome fear of flying, you should take it head on. In other words, do not avoid every opportunity that you will have in boarding a plane. For your next vacation, do not take your family for a trip in a cruise ship anymore. Take them overseas boarding an airplane. Whatever you do, do not avoid flying because if will not help you in anyway, to overcome your fear. If you are able to fly more times, you will eventually get the hang of it; and you would be able to overcome it without knowing.
When you fly, always travel light. You can perhaps bring just one piece of hand carry bag, and one bag to be checked-in. It is a good idea to go on short trips frequently and to reduce the amount of worry you have in flying, you should travel light. The lesser number of things you bring with you, the more relax you would be in riding the plane, since you would not be thinking of them constantly.
On the day of your flight, you should be at the airport at least 2 hours before your departure time. This way, you will be able to do all the necessary things in the airport with ease. Since you will have more than enough time, you will be able to feel more relax, which will help you avoid being anxious that will trigger your fear again.
