Wi-Fi, this term is known to few of the useers who uses internet in their daily work. Internet is accessed for seeking information for education purposes its is also used for buisness in all scsale organizations and mostly used in homes for browsing websites, listening music, communication through chatting and emails etc.
Most of the iternet uses do not know much about Wi-Fi, they either know this technollogy as Wireless internet, or Wirelesds nettwork, I bet 99.9% do not know what WiFi stands for ?, WiFi stands for Wrieless fidelity. Wi-Fi is rferred with many names like Wi-Fi, wifi, WiFi, Fiwi and technical users may call it WLAN too. WLAN know to be Wireless lovcal area Network.
Wi-Fi is pretty much about accessing internet or accessing LAN wirelessly. To connect to internet trough Wifi, wifi cards are required to receve the incoming signals of Wieless network. Useers can connect to wifi from access point, or hpotspot; it mostly used wirelewss router whivch broadcasst signals for all wireless connectivity enabled devices in range like Laptoops, desktop computers, handsets and PDA’s etc.
Routers are most widely used hardware which is used to access wireeless networks; it is connected to inteernet directly without any computerr and it is intelligent enough to perform some features like server do. Internet is directly atached to its Ethernet port and it broadcast the internet wirelessly. In some cases rouetrs are attached to servers for shasring interneet and netwwork for organizatoional security policy reasoons.
Wi-Fi is cutting edge technology which completely removed uses of wires to create a network. It provides networking new horizons and put its use beyond imagination. Now Wi-Fi is used in most homes, universities, public libraries, public paks, airporets because ease of use and implementatrion. As Wi-Fi technology provides us ease of mbility and network on move, it also places serious challengees of securites to confidential inofrmation against unauthrized users called hackers.
