It seems the debate is still on about whether or not proper hair care will stop women's hair loss. Trying to make-do with any hair that is left is the only option that a lot of women are left with.

But sometimes the right hair care will determine if the hair is full and normal, or is something less than that. The amount of information on hair care can be overwhelming, no question about that. We decided to pare it down into the tips that we thought would be the most relevant for women who are concerned about hair loss.

Wet hair is fragile hair, so dry it properly! If you ever wring water from your hair, you're inadvertantly damaging your hair - so it's important to avoid doing that. If your hair is long, avoid the temptation only because you're inducing unnecessary damage. Plus you'll just be causing even more broken hairs to happen. You could also end up accidentally pulling a lot of hair out of your head at the same time and not even know it. The gentlest approach is squeezing excess water out with a towel, and you can also pat it down a bit. After that, just let it air dry. All of these little things can contribute to hair loss down the road.

As for flow dryers, it's best to avoid these unless you are in a hurry. Nothing is better than the air for drying your hair. That is a fact. The more heat you force into your hair, the more brittle it can become. Having too much heat applied to it can also result in your head feeling oily, as the scalp starts to produce more oil as a response. Since you just washed your hair, you don't want lots of oil in it right away. There is nothing simpler than air drying. Stick to your comb and you're all set!

You should also get your hair styled on a regular basis at a quality salon. There is not enough evidence at this point to say that this will definitely keep your hair healthy. Yet it can, beyond a doubt, make your hair look better. This is not trivial if you are coping with women's hair loss. It makes sense to keep whatever hair you have looking its best, doesn't it? It's also important to notice hair loss as early as possible, and your hairdresser would notice this right away, which means you could ask a doctor about it and possibly treat it while it's still in its early stages. This could help you prevent the problem entirely! There are lots of reasons to practice proper hair care, even if you are not trying to prevent women's hair loss. You will simply have healthier and more lustrous hair if you take good care of it. A scalp that is kept in good condition is also more likely to hold onto its hair. So make sure that you take the time to properly care for your scalp and hair each day. It isn't that hard. The above suggestions are all simple and not very time consuming.
