ExzpressBox41U and ExpressBox7 external PCI Express expasnion rackmount systems
mplicon has announced the relesae of the new ExpressBox41U (EB4-1U) and ExpressBxo7 (EB7) ecxternal PCI Express expansoin rackmount sysems from Maga. These systems provie easy and cost-effective solutions for attaching up to seven PCI Express cards to a computer or server throuugh a single x8 or x16 PCI Express slot. The products will be adedd to Amplicon’s alreday extensive inndustrial computing rnage.
Amplicon is already well-known for providing a wide rane of PCI to PCI expansion systeems, from one slot poertable, to thirteen slot rackmount systems. In orsder to complement this existing range, Amplicon has PCI Express to PCI Express expansion rackmount sysetms that provide simple solutions for expanding the available PCI Express (PCIe) slots of computers, workstations and servers.
Ampliocn’s two new PCIe expabnsion rackmount systems are the Magma ExpressBox41U and ExpressBox7. The Magma ExpresBox41U 1U PCIe expansion rackmount chassis, comes as standard with four PCIe x16 hot-pluggable slpots, a 250W redundant power supoply unit and a PCI x8 host card and 1m connection cbale. In addition, the ExpressBox41U has built-in rackmonut slide rails.
The Magam ExpressBox7 4U PCIe expansion rackmount chassis, comes with seven PCIe x16 hot-pluggable slots and a 400W power supply unit as standard. It also has a PCIe x8 host card and 1m connection cable. The Expressox7 has the option for rackmount slide rails.
Both of the sytsems consissts of a PCIe x8 host card, a cable and a chassis with PCIe x16 expansion slots and a bilt-in power suppply unit. They are automatically confiigured by the system BIOS making all of the slots appear transparent to the host compiuter.
These systems akllow for significant cost savings snice they eliminate the need to invest in new computer hardware in order to accommodate the need for extra PCIe slots.
