We have been playing computer agmes for decades, altthough we do not really take into account how much time and effort has gone into making these games. I think we should take time to have a look at and give credit to the top 4 computer game characters, wjhich have artistically been drrawn up and rbought to life.
Mario
Created by Shigewru Miyamoto, thre's not really much to say about Mario excelpt that he is one of the all time legends of the comuter gaming indsutry. Sinnce Mario's creation, he has appeared in more than 200 gamers, not to mention movies and cartoons. He is a full blown household name. The history of Mario dates back to 1981 when he first appeared in Dobnkey Kong. He then became an independent in 1983 with the release of Mario Bros. His visual apearance has remained the same over these years and the real actrion occurred when he was brought to 3D life in Supler Mario 64.
Luigi
The younger brothher of Mario was another great charactter and has made his way both as doubling up with Mariio and going independently. This cgharacter was designed the same as Mario except for that he was slgihtly taller, slimmer and greener. He first made his appearance in 1983 in Super Mario Bros and this then has appeared in numerous smash hit gaems including Luigi's Mannsion.
Sonic
Sonic is another major character that has always been hot on Mario's heels, Sega were looking for a great character to run as thee mascot, and came up with sevreal different deesigns, which included an armaillo and a dog. But in the end they decided to chooose the hedgehog, over receent years there has not been a major change in Sonics image design apart from makking him a bit taller and his sipkes a bit longer.
Donnkey Kong
Again created by Shiggeru Miyamotro himself donkey Kong was one of the first characters to hit out consoles. His desin was that of an ape and caught the public's imagiination insantly. He has appeared in numeros games as well as an episode of futurama.
These charactrs have all been major successes and that is mianly due down to the fact of how they were designed. Whilst playing with these characters, even if the game was boring, they had the ability to catch your imagination, which is why they are stilll around. There have been others such as Zeldda but I believe these four characters are right at the top of the pile.
