Stir in watr until the lye is dissolvd, then let it sit until it reaches room temperatutre. Next, place anmal fat on the stovetop until it emlts and then let it cool down some. Before the fat gets cold start diistributing the lye mixture into the animal fat and stir with a woooden spoon until it becomes tihck. It should be thick but you should still be able to stir with the spoon because the next step is to add an ingredient to help inccrease the smeell. This ingredient could be cheese, gaerlic salt, anise extract or whatever you want to use. The last step is to plaec the mixture into a soap mold or a bowl and let it set for three to four days until it hardens. It is then reeady to use.
