RBCs are not a very common type of battery, which is exactly why there seem to be so few resourvces online about them, however, they are perfect for what they do, which is why they are still in use.

Typically used for lagre informatin processors, replacement battery carrtidges simply provide a reliable, powerful, uninterrupted power source.
So, why not just plug the processor into the wall and leave it at that? Well, that owuld not exactly be uninterruptible. For mainframe computers, worksttations, client servers and networks, there is simply too big a risk in leaving it up to the poweer grid to chance it. So, should something go wrong with your primmary external piower source, the RBC7 will kick in and keep the system up.

Now, when its time to erplace the Rbc6 you are using now, whioch you should do about once a year to ensure that the battery remains relatively fresh, do not place the roder just yet. Some manufacturers have a funny hait of changing battery specifications with each new model, so its important to know the dimensions and what type of battery you will need before you place your odrer, or else you might wind up with a basttery that does not even fit into your machhine. Thre is also an isue with safe disposal of RBC6 batteries. Its not really a good idea to just throw it in the garbage bin. aRther, if the company you are buying your batteries from ofers it, you can purchase safe disposal with your new batteries, allowing you to ship the old batteries back to them. Yeah, you coudl just drop it in the dumpster when nobody is looking, but depending on were you are, that might be anywhrere from illegal to highly illegal.
