This is the fortieth year that this community of spiritual, holistic individuals will come together to have a good time their common community, express their pleasure in connection and share one massive heartspace. The WBW has its roots in the early 70’s with an eye fixed to an enlightened future.
The Complete Being Weekend is a non-revenue devoted to the betterment and connection of the neighborhood at large. Attendees are charged solely what it prices to host the event. With everyone chipping in -- some a little bit, some a lot -- they can create an environment of neighborhood, connection and participation, truly making this event belong to the attendees.
My very own expertise began when we entered the grounds at Buckhorn Camp and had been sent off to find our cabin. You possibly can camp in the meadows or bushes or sleep in a cabin. We stowed our gear and headed off to do our volunteer stint at the registration table for holistic and non secular practitioners and like-minded businesses. I discovered to my amazement that anybody can come to WBW and select a spot on the grounds to present a lecture workshop or demonstration and easily put up it on the community bulletin board. There have been more than 60 of those free workshops and lectures that weekend ranging from diet, spirituality, self-help, drumming, yoga, sufi dancing to holistic well being topics. It was a blessing to meet the entire presenters as they registered and .... I confess, gave me a bit edge in deciding which occasions to attend.
I particularly enjoyed the sufi dancing.
The meals had been vegetarian, communal and accompanied by joyful stay kirtan music whereas love and connection filled the room with palpable vitality and well-known Entire Being hugs were in abundance.
The next day I found the Healing Garden. Oh my, a dream come true. Bodyworkers, chiropractors and vitality healers set-up their mats and massage tables underneath the timber and shared their presents with all comers at no charge. I went for the chiropractic remedy and later spent an hour with an power medicine practitioner. What bliss to do that in such a setting.
Saturday night was a raucous live performance within the amphitheater with Karl Anthony that had half the attendees dancing on or in entrance of the stage earlier than the festivities have been over. It is one among my dearest reminiscences of that weekend.
And simply once I thought it couldn’t get any better, Sunday rolled in with even more workshops, a personal photographic hike on the spectacular mountain high and, the most effective shock of all, the classic WBW closing actions where all the attendees gathered within the meadow for exercises in trust, in sharing, in bonding and committing to living our genuine lives all through the year. Have you ever skilled an Angel Wash? Oh, you gotta come to WBW for this alone. Picture this: you could have spent the whole weekend bonding with these beautiful, loving spirits. All these heart-centered Complete Beings begin to form two lengthy lines facing one another while transforming, uplifting music wafts on the nice and cozy breeze.
As the first person on the head of the line, you are requested to close your eyes as you are ushered slowly and gently by way of this tunnel of pure love; where the people you will have come to know whisper all of the issues they have come to love and appreciate about you on this Whole Being Weekend journey. This scrumptious bathe of respect, affection, appreciation and love washes over you like a dream. When at last you reach the end of the road there is a protected, sweet embrace to hold you and bring you again into the light, where you get to take your home in the line and wash others in flip with love that you simply received.
This expertise introduced me to tears and I assumed it was because I was a newbie. But as I seemed around, it was clearly touching for everyone present.
