The 10 Hour training requirements by OSHA are applicable for those workers in the construction and general industry. The OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training program is a primary training course to teach workers about the basics of occupational safety and health. This program was developed by OSHA with the intent to reach out to and assist employers in training and introducing their employees to the basic practices of recognizing, reducing, reporting and eliminating hazards at the workplace.

The OSHA 10 Hour training course for the General industry is specifically designed for supervisors and other employers with health and safety responsibilities. It is also aimed at employees to spread awareness of safety and health at the workplace. The course covers a number of topics ranging from OSHA's policies to procedures & standards, general industry safety 7 health principles and hazardous areas. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a 10 Hour OSHA General Industry Outreach DOL course completion card.

The OSHA 10 Hour Trainings for the Construction industry are specifically designed for construction workers, job supervisors, foremen, and anyone involved in the construction business. OSHA recommends the Outreach Training programs as an orientation to the occupational safety and health standards for workers. Workers are also required to receive an additional training on the specific hazards of their jobs. Once the course has been successfully completed, an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card will be issued to the workers. The course was designed as an orientation to those who are new to the construction industry and acts as a reminder to those who have already been working in the industry about the hazards associated with their kind of work.

You can apply for these courses as an individual student, as a part of a group or a company, or as an administrator for your company. Yes, these trainings do come with their own fair share of quizzes and examinations that are made to test your knowledge and competency. Failure to meet any of the exam standards would result in the elimination of the students from the program.

On the whole, the OSHA 10 Hour trainings are very important and useful for workers in the general and construction industry. For those of you who wish to stay safe at the workplace, these courses would surely come as a godsend!
