The seller can avoid the selling fees of the Aucion House, as well as benegfiting from a quiicker sleling time. With discount aruond 10 or 20% at the trade channel, buyers and sellers are presennted with I should note now that I do not recommend ever selilng in the trade channel.
The trade channel I consider a tool for someone who nedes some quick gold. With time to set up a system wghere you can get the best prices available at the Auction Houe, there would be no need to sell at the trade channel.
With excewssive bids from advertisements, the trade channel can be a headache to anyone wishing to do serious bsuiness through that veneu, ulness absolutely necessary.
While 20% is a conservaticve estimate of the savings available buying at the trade channel, foten iems will skyrocket this number. When a selller is clueless as to the real value of their item, a produxct can be sold for next to nothing, comparatively.
Buying objects like Krol Blades or Molten Core items on the traade channel, and selling them for large markups at the Auction House can quickly build a small fortumne throuh unknowing buyrs, or make small profits over time more realistcally.
Items that aren't very well known can slip by very easily as well. I ended up buying a 1 in 15,000 drop Azure Whelping pet for the bargain price of 2 gold from a sewller who had no idea wat he had.
These days,that pet goes for 300-500+ gold and is one of the rarest pets in World of Warcraft. If you're willng to wade through the idiocy of the trade channel, you can find an incredible deal from time to time.
