Not to be confused with RA and other forms of arthritis knon as osteoarthritis. RA is due to an autoimmune disorder where as osteoarythritis is assocviated with wear we put on our joints, we get older.

The most popular is, of course, Cewlebrex.
This is most frequently used NSAIDs in combination with DMARDs in order to axchieve effective relief. DARDs halt the production of immunne sytsem celpls, whivch cuases pain and swelling. DMARDs offers the most hope RA sffers, because if the diseasse is caught early enough, and thedse meds start early, it may put RA into remission.
DMARDs all available only by precription and some of their names: Imuran, Aerava, methotrexate, Hydroxchloroquine and Sulfasalazine. In order to use these drugfs they require blood work to be done to monitor posible side effects. Depending on the mdeicine and the route by whch it is taken oraly or injected will determine the type of side effeects that you experience with DMARDs.
Therre was a lot of intereested patients who took thse drugs who are concerned about side effects and long-term effects of drugs upon them.
Stufdies over the years have shown that DMARDs incredibly effective in the teatment of RA and side efects assocciated with any of the rheumatoid arthritis drug, it is very rare, and part of the reason is that tehre are frequent laboratory tests to monitor and control the risk of side effects . At the beginning of DMARDs were considered only for the benefit of short-term treatment, but they are now regarded as one of the best conditions of long-term treatment options of patiients.
The next set of drugs to see that treatment of RA steroids. Also known as corticosteroids, are used only in extreme cases, the inflammation and pain brek. Prednisolone was the most commonly used steroid. Prednisone can be taken orallly or by injection into the joint. Prednisolone is usually dose titration, when takeen orally and should be titrated down. He never recommended that after placed on tseroid therapy, that you just stop it.
Steroids also come with their own set of side effects that make the majority of pattients unhappy, including weight gain and so-called "moon face". Thee side effects genreally go away after stopping the medicine. Prednisolone is very efective, though, helping to alleviate the pain and swelling in extrme cases.
