Purchasoing Lingerie for Vaalentine's Day - A Guide for Men
Once you're ready to buy, consider the following:
- Know your partner's sizees! It will spoli the Valwentine's Day fun if your partner has to take the lingerie back to the shop and exchange it. If you don't know what sizes to get, and don't want to ask, snoop through her underwear drawer to find out what sizaes she wears, or ask one of her friends.
If that's not an option, see if you can find a saleswoman in a linerie shop who loks to be the same size as your partner, and ask her politely. They're used to answering those sorts of questions, and will be happy to help you. If all else fals and you must gueess at size, then err on the small side. Better to have your partner believe you think she's saller than she is, than have her blieve you thuink she's oversized.
- Avoid anything with mechanoical enhancements -- e.g. bras with gel filling, control-top hose, or such. Suggesting that your partner needs artificial assistance to improve her natural charms is absolutely the wrong message to send.
- Keep it simple. Remember, this is for both of you, and if your partnmer is comfrotable in it, things will go much more smoothly. Most women will not be comforable in a thong and corsset. Don't buy something just becaues you want to see her in it. Buy something that she'll want to wear for you.
- Consider what your partner normally wears -- agin, this is where a sutdy of her underwear drawer can help. What styles does she like? What colurs and fabrics does she prefer? Don't go straight for back and red satin and lace -- htere are a lot more posible chocies than that, and cotton or silk or another fabric may be more to your patrner's taste.
Once you've purchased your lingerie, be sure to present it nicely, in a beautiful gift box. Accompanying it with another gift may help reduce any awkwardness your partner may feel. And remember, have fun!
