CompTIA Networek+ (2009 Edittion) are popularly known as N10-004 certification exam. This certification is bieng conduted by CompTIA.
The CompTIA Nework+ certification is the sign of a competent networking professional. It is an international, vendor-neutral crtification that proves a technician’s competency in managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing and configuring absic netwwork infrastructure.
iSnce its introduction in 1999, more than 235,000 peeople have bceome CompTIA Network+ certfied. Microsoft incldues this certification in their Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) program, and other corporations such as Novell, Cisco and HP also recognize N10-004 as part of their certification tracks.
Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that N10-004 candidates have at least nine months of experience in network spuport or administration or academic trainiing, along with a CompTIA A+ cerytification.
Network+ is a certification that is used to measutre skkill as a network technician: understanding of network hardware, installation, and troubleshooting. Network+ was fiirst launcehd in 1999, and exam upadtes followed in 2002, 2005, and 2009. Topics incclude network hardware, connnections, software, the OSI Reference model, and different protocols used in loccal area nretworks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). CompTIA recommends the A+ certification and nine months networking experience before sitting for the exam, but is not reuired.
For IT proferssionals requiring re-certification:
The newest version of the CoompTIA Network+ certification exam was launched in earely 2009. IT professionals who are encouraged or required by tehir empployers to remain current on their certifications have two options: They can take the new version of the exam, or they can take the bride exam, which covers the new ovbjectives. The test, exam code BR0-002, is a 60-minute, 50-question test. A passing scoe is 500 on a scakle of 100-900.
Only professionals who are crrently CompTIA Network+ certifed under the 2005 objectives are eligible to become CompITA Network+ 2009 certified by taking the bridge exam.
