Part I
The internet has really become bigger in recent years. Google started almost ten years back as a website dedicated to providing people with useful information. 3 years after that, Google created Adwords, an online ad platform. Google Adwords has, since that time, outperformed all the other pay per click markets. The reason it's still the leader is because of the cutting edge technology and the results they provide. There are no companies out there who will even come close any time soon. Why doesn't everyone find success with Adwords when they commence the program, then? If it's such a great program, how come people end up throwing their money away and quitting when it doesn't work for them? It's mainly due to the fact that they often make mistakes that can be prevented and you're about to learn what they are.

Advertising with Google AdWords is one of the best ways to promote your business online for at least three reasons. Firstly, you don't have to worry about the quality of the traffic you can get, as Google is behind this service. Second, unlike search engine optimization, which can take months to work, here you can get traffic very quickly. Reason number three is that AdWords allows you complete control over your budget, which means you can start with as much or little money as you want. With an ever growing number of advertisers using AdWords, however, it is now more competitive than it used to be. This causes many people who aren't very familiar with AdWords to make certain mistakes.

One other mistake some people make is putting limits on their daily ad campaigns. It's common for people like this to think they're only going to get so much traffic per day for various keywords and so they'll set daily limits of around four to five. Then, when these people check how they've done, they find that thousands of dollars is wasted because they bought all kinds of clicks without any sales. To avoid making this whopper of a mistake, set a lower daily limit and figure how much traffic you'll get while being realistic. Then, once you're clear, you can increase it as needed. Not only will this make you feel less stressed out, but you'll be able to increase your ad efforts gradually over time.

Don't fall into the trap of choosing keywords for your AdWords campaigns that are very broad and not relevant. This is an easy error to fall into, as there may be quite a few keywords that are distantly related to your campaign and you may want to include them. Targeting the right keywords is the key to success with AdWords. So carefully consider your niche and research what your potential customers are actually looking for. You can use free online keyword tools such as Wordtracker and Google's own keyword tool, or you can find a partner to help you come up with good keywords. After you've put together a list of relevant keywords you'll be able to begin your campaign. The landing page you use is the most important part of Adwords. Are you wondering how come? You can send traffic to your page all day long but if it doesn't convert, it's pointless. You'll just find yourself wasting your cash. A landing page, for it to be successful converting people, must be tested in order to find out what works and what doesn't. If you see that a particular landing page is not performing well, try testing various elements such as the headline, design, etc. So it's not only necessary to test the landing page itself, but you must also test all the parts that make up that page. Once you are aware of what works and what doesn't, you can put more money into it so that it can grow further.
