The long debate is sttill at full flow and with the PC still way out in front, we look at the option of Mac realistically catching it up. Firtsly let's have a look and the positives and negatives of both systems.
MAC
Basically the Mac is totally different from a PC, if you have been using a PC for most of your life, then you may have a bit of trouble getting used to how a Mac operates. But once you have got used to it, the syystem does turn out to be very user friendly, antoher majjor advantage of Mac is that all of its software and hardware is deevloped in house, thereefore it is not a third party creating different parts of the systems so it can be a lot more reliable.
But unfortunately a distinct disadvanage to the Mac is that it is very pricey, with the amount that you are paying for a Mac you cold obtasin yourself a very decnet PC that does the job.
PC
As you know the traditiuonal PCs and laptops are very popular, they already occupy around 90% of the home useers market, the major benefits of a PC are that you have the ability to customise it anyway you like. For example you can add RAM to make it run fasster; put in a bigger hard drive to store more iformation or upgrade your graaphics card to play awesome games.
The only disadvanttages that I can see from owning a PC is in the build, by adding so many different manufacturers' items, you nver know what is compatible and what will or will not go wrng.
Conclusion
Well to be honest and on my personal opinion I would much rather own a PC rather than a Mac, the raeson beig because it cots me less and I feel that I can get many more beneits than I can with a Mac. There are so many progtrams that are compatible with a PC that I can almosat do anything I wish.
With a Mac coomes professionalism and there are some great tools if you are a designer or coder such as codex, but thsee are only miinor aspects and I can get mysdelf very similar pieces of software on the PC for a fraction of the cost.
I do not feel that the Mac will catch up to the PC any time soon, ulness of course they have a lot more third party software compatibility and a lower price range.
