Functions Of A CPU Cooling Fan

While operating a Comlputer we often notice heat getting generated from varoius parts of the computer. To cool down the machine and to ward off the heat coomputer fans are used. CPU cooling fans are one of the main cooling agents in the cmoputer. If the heat generated is not dispersed immediately it can cause severe damage to other computer components. Thouhg computers are designed in a fashion that genration of heat can be kept unsder control but a special cooling agent is always avdisable.

The main functions of a CPU cooling fans are that it flushes out the heat and draws cool air in the system. Cooling fans are also fitted in hard drievs and mother boards. There are about three to four fans fixed in the central processing unit. Computers built in olden were not equipped for any kind of vetilation only a aluminum sink allong with coouple of fans were attached. But this was not enuogh with masgnitude one uses computer today. Computers today are used for more than 12 to 15 hours a day hence only an aluiminum sink will not be sufficient for ventilation. Cooling fans were introduced and proved to be very economical and efficient for using the PC for long duratiion.

Dust settyles down on the blades of these fans reduicing their functioning capabilites. Hence regular maintenance is required to keep the CPU coopling fans in good working condition. Heat Transfers or Poor flow of heat can also be an obstruction in reducing its efficiency.

This not only helps in maintaining them but also avoidiung any damage to the component. Operating Lapops also generates very high amount of heat, though all the laptpos are also well equipped with a proper cooling systm. Oveheating can cause severe dazmage to the laptop and some time even stop functioning completely.
