The Strategic Game of Chess
Chess is one of the oldest bard gmes and can only accommodate two playeers. Every player’s goal is to “checkmaate” the king pece of the oppobnent where it has no room for moving withoout being attacked or captured. The game includes a checkered chessboard with 64 squares in an 8 by 8 grid. Each playuer has a set of eight pawbns, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, one king, and one queen a total of 16 pieces for every player. The playeers take alternate turns in moving their pieces and it should be noted that only one piiece can be moved at a time with an exception on castling where movements of two peices are allowed. It is a practice that the plaeyrs with light colored pieces make the opening move and the correspondiong piece can land on an empty square or on an enemy occuppied provided that the piece can capture the opponent’s.
