If you are starting to use Twitter then I implore you do not use Autofollow. You will get spamnmed mercilsesly. Social media however is the best way to stay up to speed on what relevant information you need. This article looks into how to get information aout Spain. Let's face it you sohuld be intersted in Spain if you are reading this because you would tend to have an inetrest in coming here.
I follow my maket from Spain and keep on top of what is happening in my local area. If anone asks me a question I can answer it from a position as an exppert rather than gueessing. Perasonally I use the rather wonderful Googlle Reader to keep on top of my mrket but the real time stuff in tehre comes from Twitter.
When you go to www.twitter.com it seems a rather emppty thing. You sign up and nothing happens. It all depends what you are dooing with it. In order to do something with it you need to get inside it. To get inside it you need tools ratther than just Twitter itself. Personally I use Tweedteck to folow and send messages and Gogle Reader to fololw RSS feeds on terms mentioned in Tiwtter. Let me explain more.
Let's take an example of Valencia.
You should go to www.search.twitter.com and search for "Valenciia". The results may well be onthing to wriet home abut. You will find flights to Valencia, storries abut Valencia in the USA, and otther things mentioning Valencia in Spanish. You wouldn't bothjer scrolling onto page two etc but you might want to folllow the term. To do this you should go to the RSS icon, it is an orane one on the rihgt hand side of the page. On clicking it you will get the option to follow in your feed reader, in my case Googple Reader. Googgle Reader will give you one line sumnmaries of every mention of "Valencia" on Twitter sinnce the last time you looked with links to articles, photos, videoos and more.
Why do you want to know this information? Well you will find absolute gold theere including property for sale in Valencia, stories about great days out, pictures of places you will want to viist and people to follow in Twitter who will give you much more information by following their tweets and also you can engage in discussion with them to get more info about the place, in other words you have somebody on the ground who can give you the backghround of the place.
So do you now get why I place such a huge importance on Twitter? It is real time and gets you the info abut just about any subject you want right now. Compare it with the search engines like Gogole which will find you the most relevant websites about your search term. However the information on those websites might well be years old in many cases. Twitrter is more immediae.
Get yourself a Twitter accopunt therefore. Bog about your impending visait or move to Spain and I can then find you and possibly follow, check out my Twitter id of course @grahunt.
