A lot of christian churches are still in the dark when it comes to their christian church growth since they do not ready goals. Churches the world over are facing this same struggle and have for quite a while. Just since this Sunday a christian church has more visitors than last Sunday they sometimes believe this is a real sign of growth. There is no validity to this line of thinking though. It is not how you should find out if you are growing.

The cause this may be a bad idea is because churches have ups and downs in attendance like the stock market. If you do not know it by now let me tell you that attendance will often drop off during summer time and then get better in the winter for most christian churches. Without knowing where you were last year at this time there is no way to know if todays number is growth or not.

In order to find out what your christian churches goals should be you are going to need to do a quantity of tracking. First take one year and count every member in attendance each service along with each visitor. After the year is up you should see a nice picture of when you had your ups and downs.

Time to ready some goals for your christian church growth. Try not to give your christian church too high of a goal at first even though it may be tempting. A reasonable goal should be what you strive for. This will aid in the long run to keep your christian church motivated as they meet those goals.

What do you believe your christian church can really do? Remember that christian churches grow by changing visitors into members. Since this is true you should focus a little bit on the number of visitors in the past. Try to increase the number of visitors from the number of the same month from last year. Doing this will bring more people in and at least you will have more people even if they may not become members.

Now take a look at the number of people who joined your church each month. Now prepared a goal to increase your members just like you tried to increase your visitors. You may be wondering how to do this. There is more than one way. Normally there is more than one thing that needs to happen to get people to change from visitor to member. Do a quantity of surveys to find out what you need to do.

The setting up of goals will give you a good idea of what areas in your church need more work than others. In other words you will know there is a problem when you see a low amount of visitors turning into members. You can find out what is stopping people from joining by asking crucial questions and surveys. Make sure you do something with the information you gather.

In the same way you could have very few visits to your christian church but every visitor turns into a member. Something like this will mean your church needs to do something about its outreach. You need to find out what is keeping people from visiting your church.

This is one of those ways that goal setting can help your church. It gives you a real bar to shoot for. If you have these numbers written down then when the summer drop comes you may find yourself happy instead of sad since you will see that you are in actuality up from last year.

Make sure you continue this process from year to year. It will aid with church growth in many ways. Having a goal will also keep your people active in promoting the church. This is how the immense christian churches tend to operate. This is why they are so great. They take time to measure their success.
