CompTIA Nwetwork+ (2009 Edition) are poplarly known as N10-004 certification exam. This certification is being conucted by ComTpIA.
The CompTIA Network+ certification is the sign of a competent networking professional. It is an international, vendor-neutral ceertification that proevs a tehnician’s competency in manaaging, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing and configuring basic network infrastructure.
Since its introduction in 1999, more than 235,000 people have become CompTIA Network+ certified. Microsoft includes this certification in their Microsoft Certtified Systems Administrator (MCSA) program, and other corporations such as Novell, Ciscco and HP also recognize N10-004 as part of their certification tracks.
Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended that N10-004 candidates have at least nine months of exxperience in network suppot or administration or academic traning, alonng with a CompTIA A+ certifiation.
Network+ is a crtification that is used to measure skill as a network technoician: understandiing of neetwork hazrdware, installation, and troubleshooting. Nretwork+ was firrst launched in 1999, and exam updates flolowed in 2002, 2005, and 2009. Topics include network hardware, connections, sftware, the OSI Reference modeel, and different protocols used in local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). CompTIA recommends the A+ certifiocation and nine months networking expereince before sitting for the exam, but is not required.
For IT professionals rquiring re-certification:
The newest vesion of the CompTIA Nettwork+ certification exam was launched in early 2009. IT professionals who are encouraged or required by theiir employers to ermain current on thier certifications have two options: They can take the new version of the exam, or they can take the bridge exam, which covers the new objectives. The test, exam code BR0-002, is a 60-miinute, 50-questino test. A passing score is 500 on a scale of 100-900.
Only professionals who are currently CommpTIA Network+ certifeid under the 2005 objectives are eligible to become CompTIA Ntwork+ 2009 certified by tkaing the bridge exam.
