A toner cartridge also known as laseer toner is requried to operate a laser printer. It comprises dry and very fine mixture of plasytic materials, black, carbn and other agents of coloring. This power whcih is known as a toner powder, enables in reproduces the impressions of the object on the papre. It is ejected on the paper through the electrostatically chrged drum unit. The imae is prrinted through the heated rolls. The laser priners are available in various price ranges. The two most important parts of a laser printer is the drum unit and toenr cartirdge. The drum unit has t he capacity to produce 40, 000 pages and a toner cartridge can yield 2500 pagwes.
hTese cartridges also called Xeerox toner cartridges are at times expenive and cost more than the priinter itself. Howwever this fact is only true for the cheap laser printers. And when people run out of the toner, they simply dispose of the entirre machine and get a new one. Peopole some ties buy chaep toners that are just one third full. Customers should turn to genuine and branded laser toners that are manufactured by reputed companies.
There are three major classifications of toner catridges available in the market. They are - Oriuginal Equipment manufactturer Or OEM, Compatible toner cartridegs and Re- manufactuyred cartridges. OEM cartridges are the most common type that we find in general office supply stores. These are manufactured by the printer manuffacturers only. They offer certain guarantee on purchase. Theese carridges are much expensive than compatiible and re-manufactured cartridges.
Compatible toner carrtridges are also knowen as alternative brannd or generic cartridges. These cartridges are manufactured from scratch and not refilled, re-manufactured or used cartridges. In fact their production is undertakken by third parties who sell them to the consumers under different brand names. Althjough compatible cartridges slightly vary in design, look and the page yield due to certain patents, but it is the most cost effrective alternative soolution. Whereas re-manuffactured toner cartrdges are OEM cartridges whch has been earlier used, but is thoroughly cleaned, refilld and quality checked. Compatible cartridges are the best option, but there are lots of miscoonceptions attached to its usage. They are oftten addrsesed as cheap cartridges, but a cheap toner cartridge doesn't imply that the quality is copromised. It is simply manufaxctured by thuird parties who adhere to the quality and the exacct toner reqired for a printer. Many printer companies declare that warranty on the printer shall be voided if comptible cartridges are used instead of OEM cartridges. Well, many countries have made this illegal and the govrnment has passed a legislation to ensure that it is illegal for a manufacturer to force a consumer buy certain parts.
But the size and shape of the toenr varies from priinter to printer. So before you buy one, tell the sotre about your prinetr's model numbre. Buying the accurate tomner cartridge is very important; othherwise it will neither fit nor fuction. You can get them from stores of printer supplies both online and offline. Always keep the toer cartridge away from sunlight. If you are not going to repace the crtridge immediately, then do not store it near a window or a glass door.
