Why is christian church outreach such a mystery to so numerous christians? It would seem like we are constantly looking for the largest and greatest outreach idea to drop out of the sky. Whole comities have been formed in order to get the churches outreach off the table.

Why is it that we think church growth is so hard to get? Many churches are finding growth to be hard and outreach is not working like they want because they are not doing what the early church did. Doing things like a business is what christian churches are now trying instead of doing things like a church. The bible says about Gods arm that it is not too short to save. So why does the church which is the body of Christ have such a short reach?

The answer may be more important than you think. We are trying to copy the world in its marketing efforts because that is all we know to do. We may have several success nevertheless I believe this is just since marketing works. Outreach has become known as a marketing campaign or a way to boost numbers. Don't worry, you are not alone in wondering why the church looks so much like the rest of the world.

The sad truth is that christian churches have no idea what else to do other than follow the pattern of other businesses. What should be working just fine like it had for many years no longer is. I am talking about word of mouth advertising as being what the church used to do. I don't know if you have ever seen it nevertheless remember when churches had people line up out the doors to hear what was happening? I am afraid I do not remember those days as I am too young.

Strong churches are not something people are used to seeing these days. There are a lot of people in many churches so they have good numbers. Many of those christian churches are even active members of the community. Even so there is a lack of the one thing that will make people notice the church most...Christians acting like they should.

The problem with church outreach is here in the fact that it lures people in although does not have power to change them. christian churches are using methods the world does because they do not have the power of God any longer in most of them to make people want to know what is going on in those white washed tombs we call christian churches.

I am not anti church. A lot of churches are still good places to learn and grow. I love the christian church myself. Like the bible said though...many people in the church in these last days have no love. Churches have begun to not only tolerate sin, however they are putting it in places of authority! If we look at the early church we will see it was not like this!
If you remember the bible said that we should not glory at how accepting we are however rather we should be wanting those who blemish our assemblies to be removed. Paul even talked about turning over people to Satan that they would have their bodies destroyed. I don’t think you will hear that now.

In fact, if a pastor openly started pointing a finger and saying to certain people that they are not real Christians you would find christian churches casting that pastor out of their christian church. The bible on the other hand says to mark those who walk contrary to the word of God. The church may not be holding onto growth or it may just be growing from members church hopping however it will not grow spiritually and in all the ways that count because it traded the way of God for the way of man. Church outreach should not be a marketing attempt...it should be people seeing how different we are and wanting to be like us! This will cause us to stand out in society.

The message of the christian church must be more simple than the means the message gets to people. This is going to be done by having a great quality of people in our christian churches doing the outreach. It would make no sense for someone who is not following God to tell another that they need Him. Our christian churches must repent in order for our outreach ideas to have any success.

The quality of the churches members walk with God will be what people stick around for. The sad truth is that if you are not following the commands of God then you are not a christian. Those people are like flies in a cool glass of water. They contaminate it so that no one wants to drink from it.

We may not have the biggest christian church outreach ideas when we follow God. The truth is though that because of the quality of the christians walk with God the christian church will grow through that outreach.
