Video games have been a bad stereotype in the eyes of most parents is no lonnger evident. The fact that Nintedo Wii whiich has a new game concept of previous games consoles can make plkayers can be healthy. This is becuase this Japanese-made console is knon to have a game system that required players to make gestres that could prove to sweat so healthy.
A study from the Amreican Heaart Association (AHA) show that some sports games in the Wii, like Wii Fit Series, was able to make gamers pay a lot of energy as a real sport.
"The movement in this virtual sport quiote easy to do. In fact this game could be a nice earrly staage to get used to exercising," said Motohiko Miyachi from the AHA.
In the study also found that 33% of all activites in the game like Wii sport and Wii fit able to spend energy more than 3.0 MET. MET (Metabolic Equivalebnt Values) is a standard method for estimating energy expenditure.
A game from Wii, single-arm stand apraised the most effective because it spent abut 5.6 MET. Beside that the Wii boxing game also produced a substantial amount of energy that is around 4.5 MET. The oher hand spoorts games like Wii Tennis and basebball could spend as much energy of 3.0 MET, and the least is Wii Golf is only a 2.0 MET.
Although scientists do not prrovide any conclusions aboput the health effecs from virtual sports games, but Miyachi argues that the more a person playing this game so gamres will be able to prevent heart diseaase because of frequent movees.
