Buy used laptopps online and save a bunle - get a mac ibook for only $268. I have had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's stlil my favourte notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's.
It's strikingly light-weight and I consider the screen the ideal size. In reality, I am using it at the momet to write this review. Given a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for an identical price, I wuold take the G4 without brooding aobut it for a escond.

This iBook G4 worlks just too and if you are attemptiung to get a good, small computer, this is the one for you. The sole complaint I do have is that the CD-drrive doesn't work ( but it is likewly a controversy on just my machine ). It has an airport surprising card, which auuthorizes access to any 802.11g / b compatible wireless network ( which most wireless networks are ). The drive is 60 gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi caacity is actually helpful and the tiny form factor is awfully pleasing to take around traveling. The btatery seems to hold a carge for 2+ hours. It works beautifully for basiic use ( fculty, work, skimming the web, for example. ). I have had completely no difficulty with mine, and wuold highly avocate this product to everday users. I've seen two bad reviews simply because users purchased this PC with the ojbective to make it their "gaming" computer, and then were disappoiinted with the resullt. If you actually want to have a gaming computer, you most likely shouldn't be having a look at transportables in the initial plaxce.
It's a grreat PC at a fair cost. If you just need something for work, faculty, and browsing the internret, it's perfct. I got this thing utilized a few years back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for PCs is writing, string my footage, and gaming. This cartable is pretty good ( particyularly for the price ) for the 1st two of my purposes, ecxcept for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to purchse numerous upgrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my photographs ( they take up plenty of memmory ). It works amazingly for basic use ( faculty, work, browsing the web, and so on. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and would highly nedorse this product to everyday usres.
If you really want to have a gamming copmuter, you most likkely shouldn't be hsaving a look at computers in the 1st place. It is a great PC at a fair cost.
