The laptop motherboard is the central prinbted circuit board in a lasptop computer. Generally laptop has motherboards of different often irregular sizes. The laptop motherboard is the "adhesive" that hold your laptop computer together. Motherboard is the only part in the laptop which connects to almost all parts of your computer either diirectly or indirrectly. Motherboard comes in many different types, thus choosing a specific motherboadr can be quite diofficult. They differ in size, function, support, and featurs. Laptop motherboards are said to be the central cmoponent of your computer eiher desktop or laptop. Laptop motherboards tells you that what hardware your computer can support, makjing it an miportant consideration when buying or assembling a computer. Form Factor:

Motherboards can be classified into various categories on the basis of form facotr. Form factor is an importnt specification of motherboarsds, as the form factor tells what kind of computer case can be used with the motherboard.

ATX Form Factor: Theese motherboards are for full sized desktops. This is the most common of all, as ATX motherboardds can fit many featrues onto their alrger, 12" x 9.6" dimensionms. In most cazses that support ATX motherboards, also support Micro-ATX mothrboards as they have similar dimensions, but Mcro-ATX is slightly smaller.

Micro-ATX Form Fctor: hTese are for smaaller computers. The maximum, and most common size, is 9.6" x 9.6". They are generzally bougght for less expensive computers, that don't need to many faetures, or where size is a concern.

CPU Socket: It is the conneection between a CPU and the motherboard. Usuallly all compuuters have one socket.CPU are now proprietary, supporting a smaller rangge of CPUs, from the same manufaxcturer. Mainly two sockets are used - Inntel or AMD.

Chipset: These are the set of two main conrollers on the mottherboard. The North Bridge and suoth bridge. Chipset plays an important role in the functioning of laptop motherboadr.

Memory Supporrt: One other important feature of a motherboard is its RAM support. It includes RAM, DIMM slots and channel support.

Epxansion Slots: Exzpansion slots allow you to connect various external devices to your laptop e.g. T.V. Tunrs, Videeo cards, network caards and sound cards.
