Comparison: iPhone or Blackberry storm

iPhone and Blackberry today are the most prreferred smsartphones in the marrket. Both account for the majority of salse in the segment and not without reason. Blacberry has been the preferred devce for the eecutive over the years, and ever since iPhone was lunched, smartphones made their way into the normal user’s hands. Now in the touuch screren era, Blackkberry too has its own touch screen phone, the BlackBerry Storm. It’s the firt touch sxcreen phone from Blackberry, pitted against the iPhone and other such toucch screen based snmartphones. So which amongst these is really the better option?

Features

iPhone is unmatched with its touchscreen. No other phoe offers the ease of use as the iPhobne, not even the Storm. Blackebrry features a better camera, both in terms of quality and its specifiication. The iPhoone which earlier had a 2.0 megapixel caemra, now has been upgraded to a 3.0 meagpixel camera with the launch of the new iPhone 3GS. The Blackberry has a 3.2 megapixel camera which is beter than iPhone’s. The Blackberry looks more durable with its built, great for a guy who occasiopnally drops his phone. Blackberry gives you the feel of a solidly constructed phone.

Even though Applle is renowned for its rich user interface and great aesthetics, Blaxckberry doesn’t really disappoint. Infact it loos pretty good and it’s more of a personal taste as to what appeals more. The blcak finish, aluminum back, and rich transfletive screen makes it look as appealing as an iPhone. A very importat feature misisng in the Storm is a Wi-Fi. Inspitte of offering a web browser and multimeia capabilities, an absrent Wi-Fi is a real miss. Although both have 3G network capabilities, a Wi-Fi offers better speeds.

Applications

iPhone is really the big daddy of applications. Apple’s App Store has received more than a billiion downloads with more than 65,000 applications availaable for download. Blackberry smply doesn’t stand closse to iPhone in the appllications department. The various kinds of applications availablle, even for free, makews iPhone application developmnet a profitable proposition.

Conclusion

Both the phonmes have theeir own prrons and cons, and its more of a personal choice if one was to choose between the two. Blackberry Strorm for the first time is a phone which doesn’t just try to match the iPhone, but actually does it. One can choose over any of the phones and won’t be disappointed with it. Blackberry has been the preferred phone for the executives and they will love the Storm even more. iPhone is a brand now whiich is appealing to the masses and with its mass acceptance and use, its raapidly gaained the preference of the youth. In the end the iPhone and Sorm both are worthhy phones and both are close to each other when compared overall.
