Numerous businesses use mugs, but are they an expensive waste or a great marketing tool? Are they worth the expense or are you throwing your valuable promotional budget down the drain?

What is the perfect logo tool? Not an exact gift, but the qualities of the gift. Well, it has to be an item that is noticed, that the receiver will keep and see time and again. Ideally it should be a gift that they will take into their workplace and leave on a desk so that other people also get to see your logo - so that emblem needs to be big! They need to be long lasting so that they are round in the future when your services are needed.

And they need to be affordable and straightforward to distribute.

There are many items that tick most of these requirements, but very few that tick them all. And I have to say that printed mugs generally tick most of the boxes. They might be heavy and solidly built, which is a tremendous advantage, but this can also mean that they are costly to distribute.

But, apart from that, they generally succeed in everything that you want out of a promotional gift. I have some logo mugs in my array of mugs, though I am told off by my wife when new mugs arrive!

And this is how they succeed. I have received marvelous promotional mugs through the post, been sold them after events (yes, paying to receive a printed tool!) and been given them after running races as a finishers' award.

All of these mugs remind me of where they came from. Whether I am drinking from my article writing mug, remembering around the 10k road race that I enjoyed and received my mug at or thinking back to the performance of Phantom after which I bought my mug, the mugs have lasted and continue to remind me and prompt me back to the businesses from which they came.

But they don't stop there. When friends come around they could be drinking from my mugs and seeing the message spread far and wide whilst people who work in offices and other such environments might take in their preferred mug and leave it on a desk. I have seen often enough colleagues passing a desk stop to admire what is on the mug.

And the humble mug has a huge printing area. If you think of the size of an average mug then appreciate that the printing might be completed all the way around, that is heaps of printing space! Select a version of the emblem that will easily spread and you have a hit item.

Finally, mugs are available in a range of shapes and sizes. From a china mug to a thermal or plastic mugs. White or coloured, tall and thin or short and wide, there are a huge array of different basic mugs to select from.

They might not be the easiest of items to distribute, but they are a astonishing addition to your printed activities. Get yours now!
